Nutshell

• Location: McLaren Falls Rd, off SHW29, heading from Tauranga towards Hamilton. Approximately 10 minutes drive from Tauranga.
• Opening hours: Summer -7:30am- 7:30pm, Winter- 7:30am -5:30pm. For more info click here.
• Things to do and see: walking tracks, glow worms, camping, kayaking, picnicking, BBQ’s, disc golf, botanical tree collection, trout fishing (fishing license required). There is a cafe and information center at the park entrance- good idea to stop and grab a map. You could also bring your bikes but note the rides are short.
• Marshalls animal park is accessed through the park and features exotic animals. A great place to take the kids. Check out their website here.
• No dogs allowed.
• No fires allowed.
